Expectations

Hello folks,

If you're viewing this page, you're probably curious about what you can expect from my service.  Maybe you've read the About the Service page and have other questions.  I hope to address those here.

What I actually do:

I read your document once through.  I may point out gramatical errors as I go along, but I'll mostly focus on your structure.  What are you saying?  What do I think you're trying to say? Does it flow smoothly?  Those are the questions I  address as I read your papers. Then I read it again and prepare my  end comments.

My Aims:

I have two interconnected goals.  The first and most important one is to help you become a better writer.  The second is to help you write a stronger finished product.  To this end, I encourage (and frankly expect) you to treat each piece of writing as a learning experience.  I want you to learn from the tips and suggestions I provide and apply them in your future writings.  Most important, I want you to grow to the point where you no longer need me.  That'll tell me I've done my job.
